Lucretia D'nae Nixon and Levi Curtis Hoxie were united in marriage at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Journey to Healing Retreat in Mead, Oklahoma. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the father of the groom, Reverend Father George Hoxie.

The groom is the son of George and Betty Jo Hoxie of Celina, Texas. His grandparents are the late Thelma Brown of Celina, Texas and the late Ralph Wallace and the late Gordon and Betty Hoxie.

Escorted by her father, the bride entered the service wearing a tea-length strapless satin gown with organza overlay and floral embellishments at the waist. A Russian tulle blusher with floral trim adorned the bride's hair and upon her feet she wore red satin peep toe platform shoes with a bow accent. Her jewelry included a necklace adorned with lovebirds and a silver bracelet that had belonged to her maternal grandmother. The groom escorted his mother to her seat. For her son's wedding, Mrs. Hoxie wore a black and white patterned Empire waist sheath dress with black trim.

The mother of the bride was escorted by her oldest brother,Saloon Girl From our new range of Wicked Costumes this is a very nice Saloon. Dr. Michael Westmoreland of Amarillo, Texas. Ms. Westmoreland chose a black dress with a blouson bodice of sheer chiffon that drifted over a skirt of linear tiers. The shoulders of the dress were accented with white pearls and beads. She also wore a pair of earrings that had belonged to her mother that matched the bracelet worn by the bride and black shoes matching those of the bridal party.

The matron of honor was Manette Ch'von McLean of Ada, Oklahoma, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Bridget “Nicki” Diaz and Tiffany Miller, both of Kingston. They wore short, strapless charmeuse dresses of black satin with a ruched waistline. Each of the ladies wore a strand of white pearls with a pendant and shoes identical to the bride's. Attendants carried small bouquets similar to the bride's. Ring Bearers were Mia and Bella Hoxie, nieces of the groom. Flower girl was Mattie Grace McLean, niece of the bride. They wore tea-length white satin dresses with organza overlays accented with Victorian Red satin sashes.

George Hoxie, Jr. served as best man, while groomsmen were Eric Helgeson and Nedd Siritanapivat. The groom and groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos with red ties and matching red Converse sneakers.

The couple exchanged their vows before a rock fireplace filled with candlelight. Pictures of their families were displayed on the mantle and displayed on either side of the fireplace were framed photographs detailing the lives of both the bride and groom from birth to present day.

The reception took place immediately following In the Journey to Healing dining room.

The wedding cake was a three-tiered white cake accented with black ribbon and pearl and rhinestone pendants that matched those worn by the bride's attendants.

The groom's cake was a two-layer red velvet cake accented with drizzled chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries. The cakes were served on crystal plates that had belonged to the bride's maternal grandmother,Discover Jovani's collection of short dresses and flirty cheaphotcostume. the late Cherry Westmoreland, and the maternal great-grandmother, the late Cordia Lucretia Lang Murphy.

Guests were also treated to an hor d'oeuvre buffet and a wine bar. Jan Brown, Kim Aldridge, Tanya Lindley, Marsha Sample and Kelly Shipley served.

Following a short honeymoon to Echo Canyon Spa in Sulphur and the Turner Falls area, the couple will make their home in Durant where they are both employed and both students at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
